Since October 1990, volunteers have been sharing their time and talents with our facility, helping to provide a true “home-away-from-home” for families while their children are receiving treatment at a nearby hospital facility. Our House is staffed by volunteers in three-hour shifts between the hours of 9:00 am to 9:00 pm, 7 days a week, 365 days a year. All persons that serve as volunteers must be at least 18 years of age and be willing to commit to at least one three-hour shift each week.
In order to volunteer, you must completely fill out an application and schedule for a volunteer orientation. At the orientation session, we will cover the mission of the house, the role of the volunteers, and go on a tour of the House.
