Planned Giving:
Consider naming the Ronald McDonald House in your will. Please see your tax advisor for more information.

Matching Gifts Program:
Many companies participate in the matching gifts program in which the employer matches their employees' charitable contributions by sending an equal amount. Please contact your Human Resources or Payroll Department to find out if they will match your contributions to the House.

Collect Pop Tabs:
Recycling not only helps the environment but it helps the Ronald McDonald House by producing approximately $1400 a month in income. Schools across the state help by making collecting tabs a community service project, math class project or science class project all in one. Collecting tabs is easy, just pull the tabs from empty soda cans, soup cans, cat and dog food cans, and any type of aluminum can and collect them in a clean container. Then bring your tabs to the house and we will take them to the recycling center. If you would like more information, please call our office at 304-598-0050.

Collect Printer Cartridges:
The Ronald McDonald House is currently accepting all brands of laser printer, fax, copy toner cartridges and inkjet cartridges for our recycling fundraising efforts. The House receives up to $2 per cartridge recycled. Your empty cartridges can be dropped off at the House or please call our office to possibly make other arrangements.

Family Dinner Program:
We need individuals, groups and/or organizations to prepare dinners for the families staying in our House. Interested parties select the time, date and meal. This program helps to ease the burden placed on our families, it is one less meal that they have to worry about and it helps to bring the families together as one large group. To schedule your dinner night – please contact our office at 304-598-0050.

Collect Wish List Items:
We have compiled a list of items that we use frequently and are in need of. Please click here for an updated list. If you are interested in collecting or contributing these items - they can be delivered to the House from 9am - 9pm daily.

Share a Night Program:
To help offset the costs of operating the Ronald McDonald House – we ask families to make a $12 contribution per night for their room. For some of our families, even this small fee can be too much. Thanks to community support through our Share a Night program; families are never turned away for their inability to pay. By donating $12 (for one night) $84 (for one week) or $360 (for one month) you can help us to continue to serve families in their time of need.

In-House Volunteer Program:

Since October 1990, volunteers have been sharing their time and talents with our facility, helping to provide a true “home away from home” for families while their children are receiving treatment at a nearby hospital facility. Our house is staffed by volunteers in three hour shifts between the hours of 9:00 am to 9:00 pm, 7 days a week, 365 days a year. All persons that serve as volunteers must be at least 18 years of age, and be willing to commit to at least one three hour shift each week.

In order to volunteer you must completely fill out an application and schedule for a volunteer orientation. At the orientation session, we will cover the mission of the house, the role of the volunteers, and go on a tour of the house.

For more information on the volunteer program please contact Crystal Chisler, Volunteer Coordinator at 304-598-0050 or via email at crystal@rmhcmgtn.org

Volunteer Application

Adopt a Room
In addition to making a standard contribution, an individual or group has the opportunity to “adopt a room” at the House. You will be acknowledged for this donation by a plaque which will be hung outside the room’s door. There are limited rooms left which may be adopted. Please contact our office for more information.

“Lovie” Program:
Community groups and organizations create loving homemade blankets that we are able to give to our families when they check out of our facility. If you are nifty with needle and thread, please consider helping the House that Love Built by making a quilt today.
